During the Woodward Dream Cruise, a large crowd of enthusiasts congregate on Woodward Avenue, one of Detroit’s main thoroughfares, to display their vehicles. As the procession passes, spectators sit in lawn chairs, drinking beer and eating barbeque as the drivers rev their engines and occasionally perform burnouts when they believe the police officers posted along the avenue aren’t watching.
